WHY ESS

At ESS, we’re more than just a sourcing partner—we’re your ally in creating ethical and sustainable apparel. Our focus on quality, transparency, and innovative practices ensures your vision comes to life responsibly. With us, you’re choosing a better future for fashion
TRUSTED EXPERTS IN THE BANGLADESHI APPAREL INDUSTRY
The Bangladeshi apparel manufacturing sector is a mature hub known for quality, volume, and speed. However, there are also challenges, such as language and cultural barriers. ESS is the bridge between local business practices and client expectations on process, communication, and production. We understand that product quality and a smooth customer experience build trust and create successful partnerships.
We provide “boots on the ground” through our country office, where we track each stage of production. The local ESS teams act as an extension of the client sourcing office, providing clear communication every step of the way where clients maintain full control over the production process.
It is part of ESS’s culture and business practice to stay abreast of economic, social, political, and environmental trends to continually access and mitigate risks to your supply chain. We create sourcing action plans with built-in raw materials, manufacturing, and logistics contingencies to re-risk everyday operations. Our goal is to provide client partners with white glove service while meeting quality expectations and timely delivery.

STRATEGIC ADVANTAGES OF WORKING WITH ESS
Apparel sourcing is more than procurement—it’s a strategic approach to ensuring quality, efficiency, and sustainability in your supply chain. By partnering with the right manufacturers, businesses can optimize operations and stay ahead in a competitive market.

VALUES
At ESS, our values are rooted in integrity, sustainability, and collaboration. We’re committed to ethical practices, reducing environmental impact, and building lasting partnerships. Every decision we make reflects our dedication to a fairer, greener future for the apparel industry.

Ethical sourcing: We proudly care for our workers and our communities that rely on these jobs. We ensure fair wages, respect labor rights, and support employee well-being initiatives. This approach safeguards our clients and their brand reputation and strengthens the communities around us.

Transparency and decreased risk: Supply chain managers often struggle with a lack of data or transparency, especially in upstream operations. However, global regulatory changes demand more data visibility to allow cross-border passage and are becoming more stringent daily. At ESS, we diligently work with our partners to collect data and safeguard clients against regulatory changes, as well as use that data to improve and optimize daily operations.
FOUNDING PARTNERS

Fatima Anwar
FOUNDER
FOUNDER’S NOTE
As Fatima shares, “Growing up in Bangladesh, I witnessed firsthand the positive impact of the ready-made garments industry. It has helped financially liberate a generation who would otherwise earn their living through feudal style domestic labor. My grandfather founded one of the first factories in the country, and it’s my honor to continue his legacy by fostering a growing, ethical industry. I support top-performing manufacturers who conduct themselves ethically, support their employees, and champion sustainability initiatives. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the heart of our operation. My ultimate goal is to have a net positive effect at the intersection of fashion, ethics, and sustainability.”
