- ESS local teams source primary Tier 1 manufacturers from Bangladesh
- The team sources raw materials from Bangladesh, India, China, West Africa, and other major supplier hubs worldwide
- We nominate secondary backup suppliers to ensure no subcontracting by manufacturing partners as well as to minimize disruption for possible force majeure situations
- All production is supervised by boots-on-the-ground merchandisers who act as a direct extension of the client sourcing department
- ESS sources packaging, labeling, and logistics partners
- We supervise line production and all third-party inspections throughout the process
- Study client sourcing briefs and create an appropriate sourcing strategy
- Create costing and establish procurement parameters
- Identify viable raw material supplier(s), manufacturing partners, and logistics solutions based on outlined quality, cost, and delivery requirements
- Supplier shortlist and verification of capacity, pricing, quality, and on-time delivery
- Create and issue Request for Information (RFI) packages to suppliers
- Negotiate prices, verify partner internal supply chains for the right raw materials, and plug in nominated vendors
- Obtain any Non-disclosure or other necessary agreements required to introduce and/or move business prospects forward with the supplier(s)
- Provide clients with product samples, factory profiles, certifications, ESS Code Of Conduct, ESS on-boarding Q&A form, quality reports
- Start production with the primary manufacturer and approved vendors
- Nominate backup suppliers in case of force majeure incidents such as climate, political unrest, and factory liquidity or management issues
